PS3 is a great piece of hardware, honestly probably the best built out of the big 3 but to say that next gen they'll just go up against MS and Nintendos next systems with just the PS3 would be pretty dumb. Who would buy a PS3 over new hardware? The successor to the 360 will without a doubt have better power and graphics than the current PS3 and and I suspect Nintendos next will be able to at least match it. Within the next 4 to 5 years we will def. see the successor of the PS3
