Why can't we rename the JRPG genre to something else. The 20 year old Pen and Paper RPG gamer in me get's brings a hostile reaction to the term that JRPG are RPGs. I like Japanese cinematic combat experiences, but I loath the genre definition.
So I agree with Kitase. It's not an RPG. Though it's also not an RPG from 10 years from now.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
