But, you are in the Netherlands, is there a difference between girls there and the US, and There is most likely and age difference...What ever your girl's age was compared to 16 might be different as well...Just throwing out a random thought

I'm almost ashamed to admit it but the girl I dates was barely 18. Still, wasn't the first time for her to date older guys.
As for cultural differences, that I don't know. My guess is that girls between here and there are pretty much the same in ideas and desires.
