I dont think the problem with multiple disks is really the consumers but the publishers. Having to press 3 DVD's for a game that sells 1 million copies, costs a lot more money than just 1 DVD I'd venture to guess it costs more than making 1 BD as well.

yup.it does !

the BD 25 is a single layer, many game's for the PS3 only require the single layer single sided BD 25

as time goes on would 25 GB's be enough, I tend to think that is pretty much spot on unless for Movie and sound you need the extra space of a BD 50.

but here is the rub. notice how many of the game's on the ps3 contain the BD 50?, it's not very many they are mostly BD 25'S which is far cheaper to do than publish on (2) DL-dvd 9's. that's the real cost saving measure of Blu-Ray..that BD 25 cost's the same to produce as a single DL-DVD 9!

I think many people think blu-ray they only think of the BD 50, and not the Real strength of Blu-Ray for software is the BD 25, not so much of the BD 50

its the BD 25. this is only going to keep the developer's happy in the future.
