If you haven't switched yet then yes I believe that 2010 is the year that you should.
Seriously I go to the movies and am disappointed with the picture quality now. That's a combination of my TV and Blu-Ray but still.. Once you go Full HD and 100Hz or more then yes 480p will not look pretty anymore.
