Having skimmed this thread and only reading half the pages I suddenly have a strong desire for Final Fantasy XIII to tank and XIV to tank and there to never be another FF game like this ever released and that Square goes back to the drawing board and releases a FFXV game with a reasonable budget and no FMV cutscenes.
Alternatively if the above doesn't happen, a PC release so I can buy it for the express purpose of showing off my 8x MSAA 1920/1080 shots and going nya nya nya nya.
