10 years and potentially a quarter billion dollars is definitely not worth the effort unless it sells better than Mario Kart.
I think this just makes even more sense as to why we won't see a Kingdom Hearts 3 on the PS3. That's right, that overdiscussed can of worms applies here too. KH towns were much larger and detailed then FF7, and if SE were to create anything near as large as KH's universe, and not some linear alteration like FF13, it would take at least 7+ years with the current graphical capabilities of the PS3.
