It would probably be much more cost effective for Sony to simply attach the two with a cable the way that Nintendo does and the lower price could drive more sales of the assessory as well. |
I guess that if they are able to upgrade hardware such as hdmi or blue-ray through firmware they should be able to also do it with their bluetooth hardware. Its only a guess though, but are you sure theres in fact a rule of 7 bluetooth accessories maximum?
