I see your point, however, it was impossible to get many of the online achievements in Lord of the Rings: Conquest anyways (since ranked was barren), and there are many online achievements that would take FOREVER to get anyways (100,000 kills in Gears 1, Veteran rank in Gears 2). The main thing is to just not stress about achievements that much (but that's a lot to ask sometimes, they can be addicting indeed).
