Show me someone who is serious about image quality that would not be willing to pay for it. Anyone who wants to pay just $299 for image quality, isn't serious about image quality.

Then I must point out that the demo lacks important shader techniques like subsurface scattering which would make theskin more realistic. At the moment its very plasticky. So in saying that as the demo doesn't represent 5 years of shader development it already looks worse than many current and soon to be released games.
