Yes, America is the world.

Forum goers seem to be very satisfied with what Microsoft has done this generation and then there's the thing that you rarely see negative articles about anything 360 in the gaming media. Pretty much anything negative comes from bloggers these days while we still see regularly editorials from major gaming websites about Sony's and Nintendo's shortcomings.

It looks like Microsoft has yet to figure out how they can expand this kind of stranglehold into non-English speaking territories.

They are an American company, they do best within cultures which are similar to their own. That means they do best in America and they do worst in Japan. As most English editorials come out of the U.S.A. or the U.K. and these are their strongest markets it makes sense that they are mostly positive towards them.

Well they seem to be doing alright in Europe. Not fantastic, but good enough to keep a foothold there and better than Sony is doing in the U.S.A. relative to them. Noone compares to the Wii of course which is doing fantastic in Europe.

Of course the Wii is doing fantastic, because most of its market doesn't read gaming websites. Sony on the other hand has been in big trouble ever since this generation started and on top of that their own actions weren't favorable in regards to sales. Sony has gotten such a hard beating this gen that a multiplatform game being superior on the PS3 is a big news story now.

Because the market doesn't read message boards?!?! If they read message boards all we'd ever hear about was just how brilliant Nintendo are and how lame the DX9 consoles are!
