In terms of hardware shifting potential I don't think GoW III is even in the big leagues. It'll maybe give a 20% spike on opening week then it will be back to normal.

In terms of game sales, it's not a super heavy weight, but it is a heavy weight. GT5 will sell at least double whatever GoW III sells, and it is a trure super heavy weight game. And I'm so much more into GoW III than GT5 that I would rather see it the other way round, however reality must be faced.

In terms of pre-release hype, GoW III is about as big as it gets, but in the end hype counts for naught. Bayonetta got way more pre-release hype and love from the gaming media than Darksiders but see which one is consistently out selling on a weely basis?

In terms of review score average, GoW III is likely to be the biggest PS3 game of 2010. But review scores are just about bragging rights, they don't really mean too much to the bottom line for companies as long as a game's average review score is within a certain range. Again, Darksiders vs. Bayonetta is an example of lower reviewed game in similar genre outselling the more highly reviewed game. And Dante's Inferno is likely to beat them both with a much lower review average.
