Mass Effect 2 is great, but I did notice every complaint the op had on my first play through on veteran. Your squad mates are always in the way, they do bump you out of cover, and if you don't tell them were to fight they often run straight into the gunfire and are killed.
But everything else about the game is so good its forgivable. Yet reviewers do ignore its faults way more than other games because the game really sucks you in. To be fare, it probably should never get a 10/10 because of these glitches because there are a lot.
