Now don't get me wrong, back when I played Chrono Trigger (6-7 years ago?) I thought it was a pretty fun game. I got pretty far in it, but then stopped, then picked it up a year later, played for a few hours, stopped again, and this continued for a few years. Eventually I stopped picking it up again. With the relatively recent DS release, I decided I might as well play it through from the very beginning again since I've inevitably forgotten large chunks of the story, so I bought the DS game a few weeks ago.

Today, I popped it into my DS and started it up and played for an hour or so, and I have to say, it's more fun than I remember it being. I remembered it being a fun game, but I didn't get why so many people thought it was the best game ever. I still don't think it's like the best game ever or anything like that, but it's a really great game. Clearly one of the jewels of the SNES, which is saying a lot considering how many spectacular games were housed on the 16-bit machine.

I guess what I'm saying is, kudos to Chrono Trigger. 15 years later, and still amazingly fun.

This is why its one of the greatest. That and the story, the characters, the action. Oh man I love this game top ten always.

Square is so stupid, they didn't even take advantage of the series. Cross isn't even a worthy enough sequel.
