Well... As a matter of fact, the show might be called Smallville but it barely ever takes place there anymore. Most of the time, even most full episodes takes place in metropolis. Clark currently is in a relationship with Lois Lane...

 

The show is not about the early school years of Clark Kent but has now moved to Superman's debut as a superhero as well as the creation of watchtower.
