One thing that pitched in to making this game so great, is that the universe is so believable. I've watched alot of sci-fi movies and series, and the universe of Mass Effect is more exiting than most. One thing that I found myself doing while playing was to religiously read every new message that dropped into my codex-box. For those who haven't played ME, the codex messages are short texts about the universe: different species, history, planets, technology etc. About half of them are read by a commentary and half of them are just text. Bioware did kind of the same thing with Jade Empire, but it never really interested me. In ME they were much more well written and entertaining.

Btw, I'm gonna buy The Witcher, seems like a great game. Hope it works on my laptop though. Can anyone who has it tell me if it will run (smoothly) on a dual core 2 GHz, 2 Gb ram, Geforce 7600?

You should be good. Might have to lower some of the settings. I ran it at max settings except for resolution and had some framerate issues in cut scenes with a Athlon fx-60 2 gigs and a 7600 gt. I have a 720p TV for a monitor so thats what I run most games at.  If its a core 2 duo you ought to be golden.
