Because the person I'm with is infinitely better for me than the person I love. The person I love will probably end up dead or something in the next five years. My fiance is like a candle that will burn for a long time. My ex is like a flare that burns intensely for a little while.
I made the right choice, though. And I have my memories. And that's all I have to say.
