Capcom have the IP's to sustain HD developement though, even as Bionic Commando and Dark Void flop they'll have a steady flow of income coming in from Resdient Evil, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Street Fighter and various downloadable things.
I struggle to see them really going 'all out' on the Wii as I don't think they've any property which really fits the market that well. Resdient Evil could do - but any 'major' resdient evil game is better suited to the HD consoles, where it will sell better and do so at a higher retail price. Megaman is the one exception which maybe could be a big hit with the Wii users, but it's been so long since he's had a success which isn't on a handheld or downloadable - there's as much chance a new 3d Megaman could do a Bionic Commando as it could a Street Fighter IV.
Imo Capcom are positioned much stronger then any of the other 3rd party Japanese publishers (Minus Square Enix), while I think they're overall strategy of trying to develop more HD IP's through western developement is a positive one, they need to make sure they give the task to capable staff... It currently just puzzles me as to what they could really do with the Wii right now that'd be a break-through success, given the type of software they typically produce.
