Yes to answer the bolded, you are wrong.  Sure it's no Crysis beater but the visuals are beautiful with a great art style.  Technically they're not too shabby either and at a rock solid framerate to boot.  That being said what they've shown so far is a massive leap over Halo 3 but not a step up from any other great looking game this generation so you're right to critisize the other two for getting a bit hyped.
