Mods and open infrastructure vs controlled by a corporation (PSN/LIVE) are the two main reasons I still like PC gaming.
I'm perfectly fine with the general trend towards consoles for former PC stalwarts, but I don't like the infrastructure that puts MS or Sony in control nor the lack of mods and SDK for the community and can expand a games life and add value as well as giving talented people a chance to get noticed in the undustry.
I look at L4D 1&2 on 360 where you had to buy a 2 chapter bit of DLC that was free on PC, and where on PC you can access the SDK, build your own maps and download others plus additional mods that expand or add further fun to the game - and I don't like what I see implied by that trend.
Given PSN seems more open to developer choice than Live I'm also dissappinted this hasn't been exploited more (for example UT3 allowing mods/user developed maps for free, etc.) - I guess on console the majority either don't know the experiences that could be available, or just aren't interested.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
