I understand the lack of identity with Playstation as compared to others. I believe their original identity was "we are Playstation, thats why you will buy it". But it didnt work the way they planed. Their new identity seems to be, "we do everything that Xbox does but better". I think thats a bad distiction as I believe they need to carve out their own identity. Thats why in a earlier post, I said they shouldnt compete with Microsoft in the FPS market because they are too strong in it, they should compete where Microsoft is weak, and where they are strong, such as JRPGS, anime games, fighting games, and quirky games. Now its all , "Home is better than Live", "Killzone 2 is the Halo killer", "Our box has more feature for feature than Xbox". They need to carve out a more distinct identity.
