It does not take a rocket scientist. They already stand at 10.8 million sold for the first 3 quarters, due to the PS3 slim year over year sales have seen good increases, so they are on track to top 13 million sales this fiscal year if they supply more than that.

A. They predicted high demand.

B. They are failing to satisfy said high demand.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist.

They predict to sell 13 million PS3s.

They are on track to sell over 13 million PS3s.

If they supply no more than 13 million PS3s, they will sell 13 million PS3s and meet their prediction.

Simple as that.
