I've had 3 YLOD's as of yet. None of them were fixable by me. I can replace Thermal Paste and that sort of stuff, but I can't replace hardware components ^^. I would just call Sony and try to let them fix it for you for free (Mine was 7 months out of warranty and they still did it for me. I'm getting a complete new one btw). If that's not possible, let a nearby repair center do it for you. It's cheaper, and probably better then Sony's refurbished politic.
