C+ vs A+

Hmmm which one would you want on your report card?

70 is a C-, 100+ is A+

Well you want a C- or a A+ ?

Kids get punished for C-

I guess the problem is that Edge doesn't use the letter grade score as their standard whereas the majority does. So while they don't mean to give it a 7 as we know it, they are still wrong because their average is 5, but the actual average of their game reviews has been 63. This basically means that every game they review should have 13 points added to their score to bring them in line with the rest of the world. So, the 7 becomes an 8.3, which is a good score.

the funny thing is that a lot of sites are using a "letter" system, but score on a 1-100 scale (or 1-10), and score 75 (or 7/10) for average (C) games, while metacritic actually converts the letter scores completely different (C->50). and since the people that are upset about a 7/10 score are usually interested in the meta score... imo it's a complete mess

just stick to a handfull of reviewing sites that match your taste and actually read what they think about the games (<- i know it's useless to try to impart that message :P)

haha does metacritic really call a C- a 50??? lol
