Through all of this, its pretty much the fact that Nintendo hasn't changed its basic view of how it makes games or runs its company. Just peoples perception of Nintendo has changed. Since the N64 days and even before when Genesis/Neo Geo fans pegged it as the 'old and has-been company'. Now adays, you're just seeing an extention of that, but with a whole new wave of people who want to find fault in Nintendo for a whole new list of reasons from 'casual games' to 'lack of innovation' to even claiming they are the reason their favorite company is losing money.
People having been trying to find fault for Nintendo for years. For the most part, its not Nintendo who has done anything. They've just been doing business as usual since the NES days. Its just other people who want to find fault in Nintendo. Much like the people who want to find fault in Microsoft, Sony, Apple, etc. Right now, Nintendo is in the lead, so its getting the most flak.
