ummm, yep.
7/10 is a worth while buy if it's a genre you like. Heck 5/10 is worth it if it's the ONLY game in the genre you like.
Problem with the review system. Is that reviewers are jaded, biased and guided by management to specific games for their tastes. With that it leaves that the jaded taste is not a practical taste suited for most people. Oddly enough I have personally found actual developers better reviewers than people who are gamers.
I know a few developers mostly through another friends so my contact with them is limited. Often though they don't judge based on standards of desires, but instead on values of what does it accomplish and if it does it well. They don't judge graphics by WOW factor, but instead judge by how effective the graphics are to the machine.
That's why a number of people here stopped listening to reviewers. The best reviewers can offer these days is an insight to the content of the game itself. Does NameLess FPS 13 offer wanted feature Y.. and so on.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
