The boy needs a good strong male figure in his life at all times. Im not about to let my son be raised to think that he can kill evil creatures with light, or that he needs to sneak up behind people like a girl. I want him to know the right way to deal with his problems!
So whether or not im in his life, I need to know theres a strong male figure like Kratos to look up to. I can accept that you believe I may not be fit to raise the boy without a 60" Bravia, but I hope you can accept that without me he needs someone like Kratos to show him how to deal with his problems. Thats the least I can do, if im to be no longer a regular part of his life.
