@ OP

You are absolutely right. I wish that they'd rush out three, four, or maybe five high quality Zelda games a year.

Hey Call of Duty does it every year!

Which, to me feels like hollowing out the franchise. The next CoD has to do something incredible if they want to hook me. And if they plan on getting a subscription fee then expect a lot of people to jump ship to Battlefield.

By the way, Alfy... 4 Zelda's in the GC lifecycle? I count two, Windwaker and Twilight princess, the last one got rushed so it could be a launch title. Plus, the prvious console-installment was Majora's mask in 2001, Wind Waker in I believe 2004 and TP in 2007. If Zelda Wii is released this year then it adds up.

Four Swords Adventures and the Collector's Edition.

But for the Wii, we do have two, Twilight Princess and Crossbow Training.

And they ported Ocarina to GC too.

If for Wii we count that awesome Crossbow Training, then could we count every Mario game on Wii?  http://www.vgchartz.com/games/index.php?name=mario&keyword=&console=Wii&region=All&developer=&publisher=&genre=&boxart=Both&results=50&order=Hits  ...OMG! 10 titles already released, milked fat plumber, hollowed franchise!!!

Or maybe is the criterion that if a Nintendo franchise has 2 titles for a gen, more would be wrong, but if another Nintendo franchise has more than 10 titles in the same gen, then it's absolutely right?

BTW Wii already more than doubled GC sales and most likely it will at least quadruple, so it would be reasonable to expect more titles than on GC.
