I agree with the bold. Gaming is not art in the traditional sense, but isn't the purpose of art to inspire and elicit emotions within its audience. If that is the case, only 3 games I feel are truly art. I might be forgetting one.
1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2. Super Mario World
3. Shadows of the Colossus
The near perfection of each of these titles also puts them in a league of their own.
