The netcode needs some work (and so does the multiplayer), but frankly, it's not that bad. At least Epic tries. That's more than I can say for Infinity Ward. And I seriously doubt you've played the series in a while, because you couldn't be any more wrong. But if you're so sure in what you say, please name me a third person shooter on the 360 that's comparable to Gears 2 in graphics, gameplay, whatever. I'll wait.

certainly, both epic and activision have nerfed their multiplayer/PC experience recently, but there are other games in other platforms that certainly trying.
maybe not on the 360, but uncharted 2 multiplayer kinda great, it does everything gears 2 did and do it great, and they are many PC games on the oven trying new things.

OT: March 2011 would be really sweet for this to come out, then it would be Halo + Natal in the fall and Gears in the spring to keep that momentum going. Could work out very well for MS.
