should gears of War 2 be on two disks?

The multiplayer is fixed, so Gears 2 has a great multiplayer now (imo)

Cant stand it. No only is it extremely dependant on having a good host but i was a fan of gears 1 multiplayer and the MP in the second is an abomination. Im sorry but the lancer is WAY too overpowered, smoke grenades are too over powered and every other weapon is underpowered esp the shotgun

What level did you actually get to on the game because it doesn't sound like you played much of the game.  The shotgun was never underpowered except for a very very short period after release, since then its just been a little different than the original.  Gears Of War 1 was pathetically balanced with active snipers and shotguns making every other weapon pointless and the lancer wasn't even worth having equipped.  Your just making excuses for your inability to adapt to the new style of play that was required.  The only overpowered "weapon" in Gears 2 was the melee stun which resulted in people having the attitude of hit b first then shoot.
