My only issue with the current solution in the home market is that it utilizes the active shutter glasses vs the passive lenses. I won't buy 10+ $100 ea. active glasses and let my 4yr old wear them or my drunk friends while watch some sporting event. That's just a bad solution. I want the passive system which will cost more for the TV but will have very cheap glasses. That way I don't care if my kids breaks them. I should be able to buy 50 for $20 then or less. Future 3D was one of the reasons I bought the PS3. I knew it would hit that technology when the TVs were ready. |
You know, at first PS3 3D was suppose to use passive lenses. But then Sony decided to switch to active shutter because they werent satisfied by the image quality. But I guess that there will be some kind of hard or software that will also let you utilize a passive system in the future. Youll just have to wait a bit longer ;).
