most of the games were rushed, and failed to do sales because they were release in a console japan would never buy.
that until FF13 was released, highest selling JRPG in sold in a first day on a console.
they got strong in the ps1, and peaked and the ps2, but doing many games and especially spinoff degrates it. since most are rushed and dont have the polish previous games have.
