Why would Sony have to do that? God of War is an established franchise, while Dante's Inferno is a new IP, I doubt that Dante's Inferno will be able to steal God of War's thunder.
Moreover, all the earnings that has been calculated on this thread is not even realistic. As far as I'm concerned, the XBox Live and Apple App Store offers the best returns for developers, which is 70% of the sale price. Taking into account 70% of 60 will be 42 per copy sold, and that is without considering the development costs, and there is no need for manufacturing costs or marketing costs. Developers generally earn only about 10 to 20 percent and considering that Sony is the publisher, they will probably earn about 30 to 40 percent. While on the other hand, they won't even have to lift a finger to get the publisher's share for Dante's Inferno, so why on Earth will they have to downplay it?
