It's possible, but I wouldn't count on it in this case - this actually looks to me like one of those games that are coming out with very few copies, and so will simply quickly disappear (and the few copies left will cost more, not less). Just yesterday (its publishing date) Amazon showed it as "usually shipping in 1 to 2 months". Now it shows it will be in stock February 12th - all these are indications of very low stock.
But I know what you mean, I myself have lots of games I bought and haven't played yet
