It was probably going to be something off a inter-connected computer kind of like what the AirForce is doing w/ the PS3s, and for that, you would basically keep them on 24/7 .

well, the air force is using the PS3's as a supercomputer for radar or modeling of forces movements or for the weather or what have you. I thought that the army would need something similar....
