EncodedNybble said: Well here's what I would want (I know some people would disagree). Get rid of the "class" system or at least give some class specific skills/moves/weapons. The starting class has some affect, but not that much, this is similar to what it was like in Diablo 1 but slightly better. What eventually happens is that the class doesn't matter. Give cooler weapons with different properties. Make some that lose durability but allow you to do something special or others that grant you X uses of a particular magic. Make it so that there are more "unique" weapons with properties that other weapons don't have or have there be more "combine X unique with Y unique for MORE POWER!" Make magic more useful. It has it's uses, but after a while, especially since AoE spells are super expensive to use, it's just the same to melee or bow things than to use spells. Make certain monsters immune to certain damage thus allowing you to need different weapons on hand! Make switching equipment easier (this might be doable already, perhaps I just don't know) Make co-oping easier. It's too difficult to do so right now, or if you don't want people to co-op get rid of it all together. Allow people to play online but not be "invaded" by black phantoms if they don't want to be. Don't have playing online mess up your tendencies in random ways. This was the single biggest reason I beat the whole game 4 times offline. There was no easy way to co-op, I could get invaded when I didn't want to and getting to PBWT was near impossible online. |
I agree with all of your views :)
But I have to add that you can avoid being invaded by BP's when you don't want to, just have the Banish Miracle handy when you're playing online, it's the best way to avoid unnecesary fights.
I would also take out the level cap system of the co-op, or at least make it a bit larger, so that you aren't as restricted as you are right now.
