For me it's more like GoW III and Sony benefit immensely from Dante's Inferno getting good reviews and great sales (especially if the great sales are on the 360). It seems Hack'n'Slash is finding it hard to really grab a decent share of the market this gen. If Dante's Inferno had raised H'n'S to a new level of interest this would only bode well for GoWIII. Especially if it might entice people who only have a 360 who enjoyed the DI gameplay (here again similarity to GoW III is again to the benefit of GoW III) to go out and get a PS3 for GoW III to get even more H'n'S love, though there's always Darksiders and Bayonetta to keep 360 owners "loyal".

There is more likely to be a win-win for Sony if DI does well.

Finally the pre-orders for DI suggest it's getting more support from PS3 owners than 360 owners, so the suggestion that GoW III anticipation will diminish sales on PS3 doesn't seem to be stacking up.

My only beef with the DI reviews is that too much is made of the copying of GoW's gameplay to justify knocking it down a few points in the final score. The other criticisms of the game (in the opinions' of the reviewers) are all fair enough.

It'll be a game that will be widely available on the used market, so i should pick up a copy eventually.

@ Rol. I wish I had you dedication and detachment to do the silly post thing.
