The most obvious flaw is the lame beginning of the game, like twesterm pointed out. From the Nintendo channel data (18 hour average) we can gather that Okami is a love-hate game and the majority of players never came close to beat the game (30 hours minimum). It's likely that the people who like the game increased the average time drastically (my copy is way beyond 200 hours, others played it too) while most people stop playing after a couple of hours.

Honestly, I felt the flow was pretty terrible throughout.  The game really starts and stops through it's entirety, and after a while it gets really formulaic.

The intro's pretty slow and meh, but that's usually the case for Zelda games imo.  It was in line with TP (which took FOREVER to get going) and way better than TWW imo (ugh, stealth!?)
