Ironically, if you follow Game|Life on Wired -- Gus Mastrapa recently complained about how he and his friends (mid-30s) are getting tired of being schooled by teenagers in open FPS matches.

In other words, this is satire because Mario appeals much more to older (and younger) gamers than it does adolescents.
