The great Irony of the American Revolution was that during it... the UK abolished slavery in the US as punishement.
Much how Abrham Lincoln abolished slavery in the south.
Winning freedom from great britian ended up losing freedom for some people.
Well maybe. In the end a lot of runaway slaves were returned to loyalist slave masters or sent elsewhere so it may of all just been a cruel joke.
Sill some 4,000 or so slaves ended up with their freedom fighting for the British.
Sad how abolition of slavery had less to do with morals then it did need for slaves.
