How upset would you be if Nintendo decided to release the Super Wii this year and it had the following specifications:

As powerful as 360 and PS3 technologically and graphics wise.

It had all the core third party games that the Wii doesn't have:  GTA, Final Fantasy XIII, Fallout 3, Modern Warfare, etc.

It had versions of Epic Mickey, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid:  Other M, the next Zelda game running in PS3, 360 quality graphics

It was backwards compatabile with all Wii, Wii Ware, Virtual Console, and GC games.

It had improved online features and could play the latest HD movies.

It had a $299.00 price tag, but you could trade in an older Wii and receive a significant discount off the purchase of Super Wii for doing so.

It was marketed more towards the core initially while original Wii continued to be the console of choice for casual gamers (hence the reason for the trade in option, Nintendo would refurbish the traded in consoles and send them out to people that just wanted a Wii).
