To unlock characters easy this is how you do it...

 

Beat the game with Three Tatsunoko  different characters Tekkamanblade

Beat the game with three Capcom Characters unlocks Frank West

Beat the game with Six different Tatsunoko unlocks Joe the Condor

Beat the game with six different Capcom unlocks Zero

Beat the game with Zero, Frank West, Joe the Condor,and Tekkaman blade get Yatterman 2
