Maybe, just maybe, Jeff was fired for other reasons.
Remember, we are talking about the person who gave Z:TP an 8.8, so he does have a history.
It is possible. But if that were the case, you have to believe that the timing makes it look really really really bad.
More probable though, if Gamespot finds the situation bad enough, those who made these decisions will be seeking other employment. That's how it will all end up.
