I got the Imperial Edition off Steam for £34.99. Regular version £24.99. (Not sure much that is in other currencies).

The Imperial Edition includes a lot of DLC.

If you pre-order either of them you get the Royal Scots Greys elite unit and if you pre-order the Imperial Edition you also get a free copy of Medieval II.

Not sure about retail preorders.

I think you can cancel preorders on Steam but I'm not going to bother. It's not worth the hassle. I'm happy with the pre-order bonuses anyway.
