In this regard we are already seeing changes in the form of Valkyrie Chronicles, End of Eternity and the incredible Demon's Souls. In fact with the exception of Fallout 3, wrpgs can take a flying leap. Everything from the stories to the ugly aesthetics, characters, to the throw away morality systems are a turn off. |
Those games could learn from WRPGs... who knows... maybe they were influenced by WRPGs.
Demon's souls felt more like a WRPG then a JRPG to me anyway.
