This is an interesting little debate, where Malstrom responded directly to his critics, who called him out on claims he has made

It all started with Malstrom's response post to the Other M site launch, where he declared that Sakamoto was being very self-absorbed in thinking he was a "game god," and pointed out what he believed to be plot holes in Super Metroid, as well as how Fusion ruined the franchise because it wrote the franchise into a corner in terms of story (a point on which i partly agree).

The folks over at Metroid-database.com took offense to this, and many of them preceded to pick apart Malstrom's arguments.

Malstrom took notice of the Metroid fans' rants, and so wrote up a critique of Metroid fans themselves, and responded to a number of the posts from the Metroid-database thread, in which he reiterates his accusation that the fans are simply worshipping Sakamoto as a "Game God."

This is getting interesting.
