I don't really believe RPG's were in Nowhere Land.
I would also like to point out that Demon's Souls is the most Innovative RPG I've played this Gen, that game deserves recognition.
I've played a bit of Mass Effect 2, its a really good game, I just don't feel it did anything that hasn't been done before in some way. Its my favorite Bioware game though.
