Why Heavy Rain Will Fail?

The way I see it, Heavy Rain is like a cutscene-based visual novel. This game will play like a "Choose your Adventure" book with different paths and stuff. I think some people just aren't looking at this game for what it is.
If I can imagine this game as a book, not a movie, I was able to appreciate this game more. That's the feeling the game gives me at least. :P
