The Aeons were the summons of FFX ;)
Instead of normal summons, they were a really important part of the story of the game, as Sin itself was made of an Aeon.
If you really get stuck on a question, you have permission to use a faq, but bear in mind that it will be a slow process and that someone can answer faster in the meantime :P
